Twofer Tuesday, Birth School Work Death = Adult Now

2009 September 29

Did you catch that link to The Pursuit of Happiness’s I’m An Adult Now video in the previous post?  No?  Good.  Been listening to that song for years, and could have done without ever seeing that video.  I did see TPOH once live at NIU in the early 90′s, but don’t remember them looking so dorky or pretending to play their instruments so poorly.  Still, song is one that rocks for ages (and aged).

Speaking of other things I did years ago, back in my radio days, I LOVED firing off one song at exactly, and I do mean EXACTLY, the right moment as the previous track was ending.  Call it geeky, but a great transition, worked out live, for millions to hear…  It’s pretty cool.

I also have this thing for finding songs that kind of sound alike. (Listen to as much music as I do, it’s bound to happen). With that, enjoy today’s Twofer: TPOH into The Godfathers’ Birth, School, Work Death.  They strike a similar chords, literally and figuratively.

You be the DJ and press play….NOW!
