The Ballad of G.I. Joe
“Wait, what the what? Is that? Cool. Wait, is that?! And is that…the dude from Arrested Development?” The answer to all these questions and more, like “is that Henry Rollins?” and “can this really be this cool?” is a resounding “YES”. We wrote a few days ago that, sight unseen aside from the trailers, GI Joe, The Rise of Cobra, aka what the TV just told us is the number one movie in the world, just didn’t feel like G.I Joe. Well, this bit of Julianne Moore and Olivia Wilde infused fun from Funny or Die scratches that itch most satisfyingly. Sure, can’t say we remember Destro and the Baroness practicing their clarinet any more than we remember Duke and the gang using “accelerator suits”, but we still dig it. Immensely.
