8-Bit Weezer, covering MGMT & Lady Gaga goodness
Oh man. Being easily distracted can be a blessing and a curse. This morning, it is a blessing.
We came here to tell you about Pterodactyl Squads latest 8-Bit collection–this time devoted to Weezer with 14 tracks available for your downloading pleasure (El Scorcho is our fav). We then wanted to use this post as an excuse to point you in the direction of one of the best documentaries of all time, King of Kong, Fistful of Quarters. That movie is the reason why, despite not having actually played Donkey Kong in years, we can still hear every note of its 8-bit soundtrack in our heads. We watch that movie around here the way some people watch reruns of Seinfeld.
Forget all that. Well, don’t forget it entirely. (Think all those links above embed themselves, do ya?) But check this first.
Poking around looking up Donkey Kong this and Weezer that to bring you a fully loaded post, we stumbled upon this “OMG OMG OMG” inducing video of Cuomo and co. covering MGMT’s Kids with a dash of Lady Gaga Poker Face for even more flava. Dig it. We dare you not to.
