Sister Mary Technology spotted at Quigley’s.
I was at Quigley’s Pub at 111th and Pulaski yesterday, hanging out with some friends, and could not stop staring at this vintage picture of a nun. I just kept thinking “even SHE has an iPhone I don’t…”
Before going out, I made it publicly known exactly what my motivation for doing so was, and it was not…
“ Hi, Bears? Hi. It’s me. I just want to be clear: I’m going to the bar to see my friends, not you. OK? Yeah, I know you’re going to be there too. But I think we’ve wasted enough Sundays together. Look, I promise not go on about what a disappointment this whole thing with you has been, and you try not to make an ass out of yourself in public–again. ‘Kay? I think we can both be adults about this. Thanks and good luck.”
I’m glad they won, but I still just don’t think it’s going to work between us anymore. At least not this year…
Although, we might coincidentally be seen together at Quigley’s again before the season is over. Crazy good deal they have there during the game. 30 bucks = all you can drink, an all you can eat selection of appetizers (I highly recommend the Corned Beef Bites), and an entree. If you can still put away an entree after sampling all the apps they have to offer, you’re a bigger man than me (I’m guesssing literally).
